Pressure, Expectations... They came in as the #1 ranked team. They had the #1 ranked player. Instead of training in peace, their collective training sessions were open to the media with fans invading the field. They were all "futebol superstars" however, they had never trained together with the set-up that was used in the game with France. With so many stars, Parreira was hesitant in letting the younger generations of talented reserves take the field. This Brazilian team is probably the most talented team of players Brazil and the world has ever seen. But it was all wasted with lack of organization, preparation and direction. It dos not matter if they are "futebol gods". Winning a world cup requires individual commitment and sacrifice for the success of the the team. But.... they almost did score in the last minutes of the game. If they had scored we would not be attempting to answer this question.

They lost because they defended so LOOSELY and lost the ball so easily in the midfield. Viera and Makelele got all the balls. Gilberto Silva is not as good as Emerson.
Cafu is too old. He committed one too many fouls. In the set-piece that eventually led to Henry's goal, only 3 defenders race back into the box. Henry was left unmarked and ... the rest is history.
And last but not least, the coach did not make any timely adjustment/substitution in his gameplan, if there was really one. Cicinho and Robinho should have started in place of Cafu and Juninho.
So much for beautiful game, Brasil did not play the beautiful game and deserved to lose.

:-? Brazil was not as great as before they were just playing for fun , because they thought that they can be the best and the champion ( may be I am not right ! ) but really they were not like before !

France played very good but the reason they lost is in old players like Ronaldo(he WAS the best player in the world), Cafu and R.Carlos!!!!!!!!!! If Robinho and Cicinho entered the game earlier Brasil could score!!!!! Same thing like Argentina, MESSI on the bench wtf was that!?!?!?!?!?

I think they felt too confident that they didn't have to work as hard since they were one of the favorites. Sometimes too much confidence can bring you down.
