Lets say you ahd a really good friend who ws almost like family lets say you found out tha persne was on some drugs because the were very stressed and deppressed and now they have confesssed it to you and they want help and feel horrible. What would everyone tell there friend to make them feel better and let the know that you are there for them??

You need to make it clear to this person that whatever you can do to help and support their efforts to stay off the drugs- you will 24-7.
It needs to be equally understood that you do not condone, enable, or justify their decision to deal with life in this way. This is serious business- with serious consequences.
I know because I am a recovering alcoholic/addict. I hope you can be of some help.
I highly recommend a support group- for both of you.

Just what you said: I know you're under a lot of stress and things are bad, however I love you and I'm not in a position to judge . I'm your friend and I want what's best for you. So now what do you want to do? I will always be here to help you. Do you want to go to rehab? do you need a place to stay while you're going through this horrible time/ Whatever you want, i will be there for you

Help them get help. This is their cry for help. Don't try to make them feel better, that is far from the issue. Focus on what's improtant, and get the job done. Addiction is a tough road to climb, so tell your friend you love them no matter what, and you appreciate that they trusted you, and you will help them get the treatment they need.

just tell them that you are here for them and you won't leave their side because when someone is on drugs they always need someone who will stick by them through good and bad!
