it is hard soon as hit the pedal the abs light comes on

Check brake booster out, I've had the same thing happen to me before

Odds are, something is wrong with the brake booster. If there was air in the lines or a problem with the brake fluid, you would have a softer pedal, or no pedal at all. Check the brake fluid level to be safe anyway. Are the brakes still actually working?

sounds like the booster is malfunctioning the best way to tell is to pump the brake several times with engine not running then hold the brake pedal and start the car if the pedal drops then the booster is working if the engine is racing you may have a vacuum leak and if you pull the hose assembly out of the booster while engine is runnung the engine should race or stall and you should hear a loud hissing noise

You need an ABS unit. Call 1-800-638-3446 ask for extension 520. runs around $125-$150.

Check your brake fluid, and if that's not it, you need to have the brakes checked...either the shoes are worn down/out of place, or you have other problems that need attending to asap.

you probably have air in the lines, you should take it to a mechanic as soon as possible, they could fail and cause you to have an accident!!!
