all you need to do is clean the air vent for the transfer case,,when you go off roading ,,and get stuck,,it stop,s up the air vent,,and when that happen,s the only choice the case has is to blow it back up through the tube,,because it can't breath ,,if you will look at the top of the case you will see a tube like deal sticking up ,,it,s on the very top,,this has gotten mud stuck in it,,and now it,s building up pressure,,and they all build pressure,,the only thing is,,we never notice it,,because the relief valve releases it,but when it become,s clogged up the transfer case can;t breath,,you also have one for the transmission too,,and it may be the next one to clog up on you,,just clean them out,and it will be fine,,i do this for a living,,and i run across this a lot,,it,s no biggy just take your time,,and clean it out,,then it will stop blowing it out,,also be sure and check the one for the transmission,,this is very important,,try not to drive it much till you get it cleaned,,hope this help,s you.,,,PS,,also sometimes this valve will screw out,,it makes it easier to clean if it does come out.another thing,,some of the answer,s some of you people give are so lame,,learn about what your answering ,,before you tell people thing,s,,it help,s.

Check your transfer case linkage. Sounds like it got bumped into the wrong position and you've got gears turning constantly. Maybe the linkage is bent or you have a mount brace bent or something.

Dodge man is right...the vent tube(s) is cloged. I've had this happen to a transmission on a car of mine, and the solution was to blow out the vent tube with an air compressor...which is good news, because transmission and drivetrain problems suck!

it sounds to me that you transfer case is running all the time, causing the oil to become very hot and the oil has to expand, when it does it goes out the air tube.check to see if you can turn your front driveshaft when in 2wd,if you can the transfer case isn't disengaging

Theres a good chance you just overfilled it, give it time, or recheck the level yourself. There may also be a possibility you still have water in there, and oil and water do not mix.
