what is wrong...I see some just florish with mucho flowers and deep green leaves in flower boxes and mine look just plain sick.

Mine grow like bushes! I have mine in the shady area, keep them watered. Sounds like yours are getting either too much sun or not enough water. I also give them miracle grow about every two weeks or so. They look like bushes! You can cut yours back a bit and watch how they get thicker too. Cut off the lanky part.

They may respond to slow-release fertilizer like Ozmokote and always need to be irrigated. If they are in direct Sun that is a problem as they are shade lovers.

Yes, they are definitely shade loving plants/flowers. Check the amount of water...it may be too much also. They like it moist, but not overly so.

Probably too much sun, or too much water. I had one like that and moved it to where it gets early sun, then shade. They are going NUTS out there.
