Ladies Does It Matter When You Get Dressed That Your Bra and Panty Match?

I think the vast majority of women will agree with me that it's an entirely personal choice, and that they will only match them for special occasions.

Typically, our outside top (t-shirt, blouse, halter, etc.) is different from the bottom we wear on the outside (jeans, skirt, shorts, etc.). In most instances, a woman selects her bra determined by what works best with her outerwear. If she is wearing some decolletage (something with a plunging neckline), she'll more than likely choose a bra with underwire support for lift. It might even be a little lacy, just in case it shows. If she's wearing black, her bra will most likely be black. Likewise, if wearing a lighter color, the bra might be white, pastel, or even nude (which is the least noticeable in some women). When wearing a silkier fabric or a t-shirt, she'll want to wear a bra that isn't rouch on the surface, so that the whole pattern doen't show on the outside. Also, if wearing a more sheer fabric on the outside, a woman might choose to wear a bra in a subdued color rather than a print. The same might not be true for another woman. Some don't care at all if the print shows through, or if their bra straps show. It's a matter of personal taste.

As to panties, there are so many different types. For some women, it's about "comfort first!" Those women may choose white cotton in various styles, from thongs to briefs to boy-cut hipsters. Other women choose to wear bright colors or patterns. Some women prefer nylon or silk over manmade fabrics, while other women (though I think they're in the majority) choose to go commando. Whichever choice, the choice of what she wears on the bottom may be vastly different from her bra.

Now, if the lingerie choice is for allure and seduction, those pieces might match, and may also include garters, hosiery, and other intimate gear. Also, to dress for one's wedding, she might have an intimates set, even if purchased separately. Those will more than likely at least appear to match, even if purchased separately or received as a gift.

Furthermore, each woman is inclined to have a few favorites that she may wear more often than not. She may like a certain bra or two because of comfort. The same goes for panties. So, I hope you see how very personalized it is, and it will always remain a matter of one's personal taste.

Yes, and No. In the beginning of relationships, every time you are around a guy you will want to make sure that they match. I mean, who knows if something might happen and you have to rushed off to the ER, and your clothes are torn off to save you and you have on a red bra with yellow undies! Once you recover, you will be to embarrassed to see that young fellow ever again! LOL, no seriously, once you are settled into your marriage or whatever, it doesn't really matter unless you have a special night planned. Now that doesn't mean I just wear anything, I will still try to match as close to possible like white with off white.:)

If I'm just going out for a casual day or staying in at home, no it doesn't really matter for me personally. If I'm going to a party or anything like that I like them to match, not because I'm expecting anything to happen but it just makes me feel good about myself and helps with my confidence, even though nobody can see my underwear. It's personal choice for each woman really.

Unless you're the kind of girl who likes to show off that kind of thing out in public (like, your pants will be hanging half way down your butt and your shirt way too tight making your fat hang out and bra straps show, which by the way: is NOT sexy at all), then it doesn't matter for everyday occasions. If it's something special, it matters ;).

I tend to like to match them if I got time on my hands but no not really. Unless I wear a mini skirt and my bra is visible through my shirt. Then they have to match.

Women tend to have rules for beauty and physical appearance that go beyond the expectations of man. In fact, fashionability is sometimes downright ugly, but they don't care about their attractiveness, but their being able to keep up with expectations and compitition. It's a female competitive thing,not something they do to please men or enhance beauty, so yeah, underwear must match or you're a sloppy not caring about the way you look woman. Mine never match, but it has never impaired my sexlife.....
