Why not? We're Americans too! We serve at a higher statistical rate in the armed forces, who not only fought for our original liberties, but have continued to provide the "rights" and "liberties" that Americans -- all Americans -- still enjoy. We are the original Americans. We may not celebrate Columbus Day (after all, he was just a drunken sailor who was lost when WE found HIM, who proceeded to initiate a campaign of genocide and slavery -- check your history books - we were indeed enslaved and taken to Europe as such -- that resulted in the annihilation of 100 million of us, which was 95 % of our population, in the first century afterward), but that doesn't mean we aren't celebrating being the first inhabitants of the greatest nation in the world! In fact, if most whites (or any other color, for that matter) were to bother to get to know us -- really get to know us -- they would find we are a very generous and noble people.

I don't see why not. Its true that a few choice ones have been passed bitterness of the facts and won't appreciate it, but I'm sure they celebrate the same as the rest of us.
