get involved in a successful organisation (preferably a public corporation) that itself is involved in the 3 Power Trends driving the world right now:
- the Internet
- products used by the "Baby Boomer" population
- & true GLOBAL Distribution!!

the Auzzie market is currently in its initial stages.
join in Early for endless possibilities.
(in fact, many countries/states are virgin markets!)
Point is...Anybody Anywhere can do it...and get paid in their local currency.

start down under. build it slowly...& with senior partners when they travel into town every month or so.
slowly...you, your baby, & your hubby...will be able to travel the world at will to build the business with similar-minded co-workers or just see new places.

only once in every 10-20 years does one chance upon a company going into momentum phase of this magnitude!
...like buying into Microsoft stock before Windows was invented.

you gotta see it for yourself!
Peace.

Think of all your interests & ask yourself if any of those could be expanded into a business. Just keep in mind...what's your expertise? What are your interests? What could you imagine yourself doing?

By researching the prospect of starting your own business -- what it entails, what you need to know, helpful hints, etc -- you'll feel better prepared to take that plunge.

I found some book titles that are relevant to your specific question:

First of all, do NOT pay money to anybody who is willing to sell you ideas for starting your own business.

Begin with your skills. What was your job before you had the baby? Might your former employer consider letting you do some of those things as an outside consultant? Do you have other skills that people might be willing to pay for on a part-time or one-time basis?
