lots of fluids first of all ( you're body is going to need to replace the fluid loss due to the sunburn and you need to prevent dehydration). soda and juice are the worst things possible-too much sugar.water is best and gatorade is acceptable.

use 1 % hydrocortisone cream to help reduce pain and swelling as well as ibuprofen-tylenol can be used but the ibuprofen has an anti-inflamoritory in it to also help reduce swelling.

cool baths or showers only-hot water will trap the heat inside the skin and can cause the burn to worsen.

try not to use any lotions on it because lotions also trap heat which will prevent healing.

if you are blistering in that area or have a fever you need to be seen in the emergency room as those are signs of a second degree or worse burn

Unfortunately, you cannot get rid of a sunburn. It has to heal in its own time. I often use Noxema on my sunburn. (The deep cleansing cream version that comes in a small tub.) It cools the skin and helps to moisturize the skin. Cool compresses can help, too.

Noxzema for 40 years and counting! Also put one cup of white vinegar in a tub full of lukewarm/warm water. It temporarily relieves the sting.

...cucumber.. quite known ryt?
...there's also the green tea bag thingy..
...wet the tea bag and open it afterwards..
..may put it around in the burnt skin till it dries.. the longer you take, the better the effect.. it's even kinda natural.. it even helps in the flow of blood in the body..?
...coz i know my sis used to have sweat in her hands but after once, her hands were back to normal.. :D
