Where does this come from...is it in the literature anywhere...it does not sound like people should be saying this because ...feelings are defined as moral or emotional sensitivity...state that would be a fact...

can anyone please help?

Feelings may not be facts but it is a fact that you have feelings.

when I did a 12-step program, I never ever heard that statement.

Philosophically, this is a very loaded question.

That you exist, is that not a fact? That you as an existing breathing person have feelings and emotions, is that not a fact? Therefore, would it not be feasible to say that your feeling and emotions are facts because in fact they are part of who you are, part of your thought process; because you are a living person on the face of this earth? It may or may not be feasible for another person to state this as a fact of his/her life in regard to his/her relationship to/with you because he/she is not part of you.
