i remotely remember learning about a "criminal tendency" chromosome (XYY), so you might wanna read up on that. the link is as below
http://www.lahey.org/NewsPubs/Publications/Ethics/JournalSpring2002/Journal_Spring2002_Legal.asp
but i don't think we can exclusively blame the genes cuz i think the environment too play a great part in "cultivating" criminals. genetics only provide the groundwork and the environment triggers the dormant tendencies that are already within a person.....
hope this is enough food for thoughts for you
regards

It's both. Nature and nurture, genetics and environment. I've seen kids raised in the same family, by the same parents, treated the same way, and one would be kind, generous, sweet. While the other could tend to being a little more selfish, cranky and unfriendly. Some people are just born submissive, others and born aggressive, and no amount of parenting will completely change them. It might temper them a little, but it won't turn a kitten into a tiger or the other way around.

Ah the question in psychology that has been debated for YEARS!!!
There's so many factors to consider. Upbringing, environment, genetics, phyiscial chemistry, psychological imbalances, even if though there may not have been any serious trauma involved, right down the the choices one makes.
At least this is my personal opinion.

okay.....the way I see it is life is full of experiences and each experience influences us in some way. Now some people may have bad experiences but that doesn't make them bad people nor does the fact they might be in a bad environment.Well, I guess it depends on what you mean by bad people?...I hope you can understand what I mean.

I think that it is personal choice to be a "bad" person.
A bad person is someone who chooses to hurt or decimate their surroundings, whether it be people or things. It's people who are taught better, however choose to not to pull their head out of their @$$ and notice their actions are hurting people and things around them.

It do not propose ur a nasty individual. What makes u a nasty individual is even as u imagine undesirable about someone u comprehend and cares for u and u hate them.

Individuals are responsible for their own actions. If they can't play well with others, they must go to "Time Out".
