Well as far as in the USA, Bush talks about fair democracy then he acts like a dictator here. So, you are right about some countries doing that.

As for why? I think it is because he is not a man to be trusted. He believes the people can not make decisions and actually does NOT believe in a democracy.

One of the desired results of asymmetrical warfare is to force a government to make things harder for it's citizens. This can be by censorship or invasion of privacy or restrictions on movement. The result of this is to make the government seem more unjust to it's own citizens. This in turn widens the field for the insurgent to recruit. All of this is classic gorilla warfare. Why it is not reported or resisted by governments is a mystery to me.

If we were trying to catch terrorist we would not be in Iraq!!

It is confusing to the world when we have a president that doesn't go by laws, treaties or our own Constitution!

Kind-of leaves you up in the air doesn't it!

Don't follow Bush. He is a war criminal and he will be charged as soon as he leaves the white house!!

Good riddance!!

Let me cue you in. Governments DO NOT care about individual freedom, privacy, and, liberty. This is especially true where the United States government is concerned....in the good old "land of the free."
