a fifth of that is 18
double that is 36
four more is forty.

40 from a real northern lad - one tenth of 900 is 90 and a fifth of that is 18 double that is 36 and 4 more than 36, well you can see where that is going!!

900 divided by 10 = 90.
one-fifth of 90 = 18
18 by 2 = 36
36 + 4 = 40

x = ((900 / 10) / 5) * 2 + 4
x = (90 / 5) * 2 + 4
x = 18 * 2 + 4
x = 36 + 4
x = 40

40 is definitely the correct answer, the intrigue being "why did you ask this question?" - Did a "Northern Lass" tell you it is her chest measurement or her age last Saturday night?
