Someone I befriended died and left me $100,000 (net amount). I wish to make the best use of it.

I'm considering a trip to a tropically island and investing in real estate. I need the vacation to escape a most stressful year so far. And I've been thinking of flipping fixer uppers for some time now. Any other suggestions?

BTW - I already own a house and car - don't need another for myself.

Well I always say I would give some to a homeless family in a shelter.

Then take some invest it in stocks or bonds.

Then take a trip to some place I always wanted to go

But your vacation idea and fixing up things around the house is a good idea too. Take care of yourself first

I know an island, near the N.Zealand, (It is very far indeed, but the closest country is N>Zealand), where are no banks, no TV, no newspapers and people don't use money. So first I want to go there and after to travel all around the world in countries where is no winter, so I'll have my life only spring and summer...

I would probably buy some stock, put some away for a rainy day, i might even do something in remembrance of my friend who died and left me the money. I would go on a vacation too because this year so far has been hell.

Start a scholarship in the name of your benefactor.

Eliminate as much current debt as you can (student loans, car payments, credit cards, etc.)

Speak with an investor about creating a "nest egg".

And allow yourself one 1 frivolous thing.
