A) Europeans aren't necessarily smarter, they just have eons more culture, and their students are more motivated towards advanced learning than ours are.

B) The Bush family actually isn't from Texas, they're a connecticut political family. As I understand it the current president's grandfather started it by becoming an influential senator from the aforementioned state setting the stage for his son becoming president. That son, Bush Sr. used his contacts and friends (like the ones he put on the supreme court or the ones Reagan did) to get his son the presidency. About why he's in office for a second term, it's following historical precedent that wartime incumbent presidents typically haven't lost reelection bids.

Well for starters bucko, we didn't put a back-wood cowboy in the white house. That is just your misguided opinion. Who says Europeans are smarter and I'm not saying they aren't but, give us some data to support your findings. The president has only been there 6 years, and he should have been there sooner as you were "obviously a child left behind"

If the Europeans are smarter than us, why did they start two World Wars in the 20th century, and invent two of the bloodiest forms of government, Communism and Nazism?

We put President Bush in the White House because the alternative (Al Gore) was basically a stiff.

I wouldn`t say that Europeans are smarter than Americans. Unfortunately, the public school system in the U.S. in crumbling at faster rate. So I would say that Europeans, in general, receive a better education. Therefore, they come across as "smarter".

For the second question, perhaps more people felt he was the lesser of the two evils. Or perhaps it is due to poor education. :)

First of all, if you believe Europeans are more intelligent, you are evidence of your own theory. In general, it is not true. It is obvious you are well below average.

The backwoods cowboy is from Connecticut. He was elected because the Democratic party put forth a Schmuck like Kerry for President.

Europe isn't smarter, well I guess I can't say that! Almost everyone in Europe has a higher IQ than Bush's 91.

We invented almost everything, but give it to someone else to make. From radios, television and Cd's! and computers!

We are awful dumb to let all our companies go overseas for cheap labor!! After the Trillions we have given Boeing, and the Trillions they have stolen, guess where the new 787 is being built for the most part!!

You got it!! JAPAN!!!!

Because we haven't had the time to inbreed him to the point of being blue-blooded like European Royalty, and it was the closest thing we could get.

The Europeans are not rally smarter then us, the just keep quiet and seem smarter then us. Remember we have a right they don't have.

We have the right to be stupid and loud about it

Someone mentioned it above, but I want to reiterate the point- Europeans are more cultured.

Americans have become so pitifully commercialized they've lost any sense of an independent personality.

Just count the guys you see today wearing Yankees caps, Nascar caps, Nike shirts or Abercrombie & Fitch apparel. We don't have any personality- we're just walking billboards for commercial interests.

These same walking billboards who actually pay companies for the privilege to advertise their products for them, no longer know how to think for themselves politically. These people are sitting ducks for politicians. A politician during this era of uncultured sheepdom came along who lied & cheated them into war. The sheep did the equivalent of paying Nike to advertise their products for them- they elected him again (assuming, of course the election wasn't illegally rigged in Ohio)!

This question is the funniest thing I have seen this morning.
If the europeans are smarter than the US, how come they have
had two World Wars and the US had to bail them out. Think about it for awhile if you can.

i agree with thomas p...yes Europeans are open minded people...and respect so much the differences in the cultures and in religions....i am not European and i am not from USA ...but i am from Middle East...but i know people from both sides...i think Europeans so reasonable to know the world are not just Europe..but American people think the world is a American planet ..so when they come to our home they do not stop criticizing any thing different ...of course not all Europeans are open minded and not all the Americans closed minded....the generalizing is so wrong...
