Admission Requirements
Undergraduate
Applicants to the human development program must have a high school diploma or a GED certificate in the upper half of their graduation class,and must score at least 1000 on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). Those whose scores are below the minimum may be admitted on a conditional basis, and may be required to enroll in verbal or mathematics studies programs administered by the Center for Academic Reinforcement (CAR). Applicants must have completed a high school program which includes English (3 units), social science (3 units), mathematics (2 units), science (2 units), and 4 units of academic courses counted toward graduation.
Applicants seeking to transfer from another college or from another academic unit of Howard University, and who have earned at least 12 credits, must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5; those with less than 12 credits must submit high school transcripts or GED certificate and SAT scores.
Applicants to the five-year teacher certification program in elementary education must apply to the College of Arts and Sciences and must be in the upper half of their graduating class or submit a GED Certificate. They must also have a minimum SAT score of 980 or ACT composite score of 18. Transfer applicants from regionally accredited institutions must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale. International students must adhere to the same admissions procedures as other students

Yes it's good enough. Do well on the ACT and the SAT too. look at www.collegeboard.com for more information. it will tell you the average GPA of incioming freshman.

You can get information on the student body and their HS criteria from collegeboard.com It's not just GPA, activities are also considered.

I believe you need a 3.0 to be considered there. With your GPA, and if you have a well-rounded list of other activities, you should have a good shot at it.

That should be. My buddy just got accepted there. His was lower (around a 3.1). That said, he's going on a football scholarship, so that might change things a bit.
