The same way. If their glasses make their eyes look big, they probably are far-sighted. The curve of the lens, makes the eyes look big. They see what you see. Then when they take their glasses off, their eyes look smaller. When you're used to seeing people in glasses, and those glasses have a strong lense (whether it makes their eyes smaller for nearsightedness, or larger for farsightedness) they always look different to everybody else.

Well, we look normal overall when looking in the mirror, because the glasses correct our eyesight. Of course, the eye(s) with large lenses makes those eye(s) look big...just as they do to you when looking at us.
