Become active in local politics first and then be honest to yourself and others. Don't hesitate to shake the branches if the fruit is rotten. We have so many good people that simply do not get involved that we are face with mediocrity in elections and government. It is true however that elections are biased by money and smoke-filled rooms but isn't this what you are trying to correct?

By raising your family with a sense of responsibility and ethics. Live by the Golden Rule. Call people on their bull. Pretty soon the community will look like a pretty nice place. A country is nothing more a defined geographic area. What should you really do for that?
