Ummm ... Brownish with shades of yellow and ochre. I think the pattern was one of those jazzy geometric ones or it may have been more floral (Arts & Crafts). Maybe it depends whether we are talking early or late June?
Actually, it's irrelevant - there never was a Jefferson Street in Woking in 1924. There is a Jefferson Street in Goole and one in Mannheim, it seems. Woking is bereft.
As for the HARDIEST question? Nearly all questions fade and are forgotten like leaves in October. There are a few which are perennial, such as 'Why is a mouse when it spins?' and 'Does God exist?'

Somehow I don't believe there is a 54 Jefferson Street in Woking. Now maybe there is one in Watford but I'm not sure.

Kind of advacado, but advacado that's been out in the sun for a couple of days and then looked at through some second hand spectacles you bought from Scope for 25p (one of the lenses has a hairline crack in it).
