I will tell you that the best goggles are:
-reliable
-comfortable
- and not super expensive
two of those are easy to see.. speedo, tyr and swedish goggles being the clear options.. however comfort is one of the most important things when choosing goggles
if you are a competitive swimmer, comfort will mean a lot. 5 hours a day of wearing something that doesn't fit you will hurt your eyes/ nose pretty bad. And one more thing .. comfort might also affect reliability.. specially during your dive!

most branded goggles are good, but it really depends on the shape of your face and eyes. I suggest that you go to your nearest sport shop and try as many goggles as possible, make sure that you feel the suction around your eyes, and make sure that they are not strong enough to leave marks around your eyes after you finish swimming. Hope this is helpful, good luck in your goggles shopping.

It really depends. Go to a sports store and see if you can get the googles to suction to your face without the band around your head. If that works, they'll work in water. Some people like Swedish googles, which are only plastic with no suction around the edges. My favorite are TYR.
