Sometimes, but then you have the answeres like myself who mainly like to post sarcastic comments for fun. So you just have to wade though the b.s. to get to the good answers.

You will get all types of answers.
You will find many answers are inane at best and others which are incomplete and then some which are strange. However, for the most part you will find the people who answer are honestly trying to provide real answers to your questions.
Much depends on the question you ask. For example, this is not (in my opinion) the best venue to be asking a medical or legal question. Most individuals do not have the experience or education to address such questions and those who do (doctors and lawyers) have to be very careful due to liability issues.
Even so, you can find very interesting and informative answers which often provide sources to which you are unaware.

Some times, if you get more than 2 or 3 matching answers. Sometimes you get people with a strange sense of humor like me with a profoundly stupid answer that I for some reason, cannnot help.

Ask honest questions and you will get honest answers but the problem is that questions like yours will only elicit crazy answers!!

Honest questions beget honest answers =) oops but there ARE people out there who enjoy giving stuff that don't even 'answer' the question.

Yes and No...because of Anonymity, you can get a lot of real honesty, but also because of that, you get some dumb people spamming your questions to get points...but it's a pretty good site to be on.

It depends from the persons.Someone are here just to have some fun and someone are serious and want to help honestly.I always give my opinions and I am honest.
