your sons hair will start to shed soon and he will have dandruff which is very normal . it is safe to cut your baby's hair when his skull is not so soft any more but some people are afraid to use scissors near their children's head . I cut my boy's hair on his first birthday and I keep it as a nice memory. You can fine all you need about children on www.babycenter.com

You can cut it whenever you like. Hair is on the body to protect it from hot as well as cold temperatures... you still need him to wear a sunhat if it's warm outside, although he may get a little more sweaty than most babies.

All babies however, should be kept in the shade and not exposed to any direct sunlight.

i have always been told that you don't cut a baby's hair until they make 1yr. i don't really think that having alot of hair has anything to do with a baby's temperature. my daughter was born with alot of hair and it didn't affect her temperature any.

I dont think hair is going to effect his temperature that much. Talk to your pediatrician. I am quite sure there are no 'guidelines' to hair cutting. You are the parent, give him a buzz cut if you wish......I always waited until my childrens hair was in their eyes to cut it.

I was always told that it was okay to cut a baby's hair once he was a year old but I think its an old wives tale. Really you are the parent & it is up to you.

I don't think you should cut their hair until they are about one or two years old because their hair is goes to change allot they grow hair then loss hair and you don't want to mess with this process.

As soon as its too long to deal with there isn't a minumum age, don't splash out on a barber tho just trim it with some scissors and it won't effect his temperature as at that age he can't control his temperature himself anyway

I cut my daughter's hair, meaning I shaved it (for religious reasons) at less than a month old. I know someone who did it at 7 days.
