I have to agree with the playing to the camera bit.
I know Beckham is a Mega-Star, but he courts the media when it suits him and sitting crying on the touch line will guarantee HIS picture will be splashed all over the Tabloid with the Heroic Captain (Now Ex-Captain) headlines.
It did'nt do Gazza any harm did it.
I think that Beckhams days are numbered cos the boy Lennon done more in the few games he came on in Germany, than Beckham did in the whole Tournament,
I mean taking players on, beating them and getting crosses in.
This may turn out to be a great decision for England
As long as McLaren does'nt adopt Sven attitude and style of play

Jeese you lot are such a bunch of cynical twats. Of course he would have been annoyed and sad to go off injured, because you dont want to get injured in a such a big game. How the hell is he going to make more money from it?!?! What is he gunna sell rights to the video? I dont think so, leave the man alone.

Not only Beckham, the whole team were playing to the cameras, very soon you will see a commercial with the England players in a Lager advert crying because they lost, then we will see that all soothing Lager appear.
Made by Becks ?

The amount of you on here that are so immature is unbelievable! I wonder how many of you could have done better? You all need to grow up a little before you go making wild untrue, slanderous statements. Your facts must be right, which unfortunately they are not.Try to grow up, perhaps then you will be able to make more truthful, interesting comments worth noting!

I think that he's always aware of were the cameras are. But it is not his fault that people live their lifes looking up at the "stars."He used to be a very good player and a choker. Now, only the choker part remains.

I don't agree with you.
I am a psychologist and to me, he was showing genuine emotions. As the captain, I think he should have been there to watch his team.
I think he was in agony watching the match.
And I have to say, if he does make a documentary, I would be interested to see it, because however envious you feel of him and his life, it is fascinating.
If you are right - well who can blame him?

that's stupid. david beckem didn't go off because he's the captain and he wanted to be there if he was needed for penalties.
