A cyst is a VERY common fluid filled, BENIGN (not cancer) finding in a woman's breast. they often vary in size based upon a woman's menstrual cycle. They will get larger and more painful before her period. Often they will resolve on their own, but they can be aspirated very easily by a doctor by putting a needle into it and drawing out the fluid, thus easing the discomfort faster than waiting.

the pain can also be lessened by eliminating caffeine and other stimulants. Cysts are more common in younger women, 50 and under.

Breast self exam is very important to monitor changes in teh breast.

No cyst isn't nodule. Any person have cyst in their body that comes and goes.Cyst on breast or in the ovarian are usually related to the women's hormone.
All human beans have cysts spread in some parts of the body like neck for example that tends to be a very common place to form. Cyst can be found in in the brain, being very normal.
I got all this information's during my consultations with my gynecologist and endocrinologist.
PS: Nodules are those ones responsible for cancer, therefore should be checked to see its type. There are 2 types: the cancer and the not cancer. Lucky my types wasn't cancer.

A cyst is not a tumor. Think of a cyst as an infected capsule, like a boil or giant pimple that nests deeper in the tissue.

Had one myself. doctor assured me a cyst is always a cyst and nothing more. doesn't turn into a tumor and isn't cancerous. They can be caused by too much caffeine and nicotene. I decaffinated myself, gave up chocolate and stopped smoking and mine went away on it's own

I am sorry to her about your wife. But that does not mean that your wife has a cancer. The best way you can do is to consult a specialist a nuero surgeon perhaps, they are the ones who knows about cancer and they'll tell you what ever it is. If it's cancerous or not, and then they'll suggest that it needs to be remove and they'll do operation.
