huhwhereiami is correct. Weekends and holidays are a bear to get people to work. They have higher call out rates, inlcuding management. A lot of management believe they are STRICTLY M-F, 8a-5p and what happens when they aren't there or aren't required to be there isn't there problem, when in reality it's more their problem than anyone else's, considering that is what they are paid for and that is what their role demands. You aren't the only one who deals with iritating bosses so you can at least take comfort knowing many of us suffer right along with you. *grin*

Because its hard to get people to work those days. They want to spend that tiem with their families
