Web hosting is setting up a server that customers can use for their web pages.
Since most users can't afford (or do not have access to) the high speed connections required of a heavily accessed web server, data centers with such capabilities "rent space" and share the resources with others who need them.
Sorta like the landlord in a big office building... He may only need one floor, and rents the rest of the building out for income and profit.

A website is a collection of files on a computer. That computer is a server connected to the Internet -- a computer set up to allow people on the Internet to connect to it and view the websites on it. A web host is a company that maintains multiple servers. So, when you get a website, you also get a web host where your website resides. This is generally an added cost to the design cost or in such cases as Yahoo and others, web hosting is free, you set up your own page on their servers and they sell advertisements onto your website. Either way, a web host "hosts" your website.
Hope this helps!

hi
if u want to put your website in net you must have a hosting.
first you must register your address then you send your web content to web hosting for having them. then if any would see your page hosting server show it to him/her.
hosting compare with capacity speed and traffic.
be success.
