Here, Yahoo Answers is meant to be used by only Americans. You can read that in they're TOS. If you come across a question that is in another Language you can report them. There is Yahoo Answers for other Countries. And yes, it bothers me too when you see other Countries downing Americans, but they are really just jealous because we are obviously the best Country in the World and they know it!

ecream was right on everything except that you are not being disrespectfull or rude.
See a lot of the questions that I have red seem to be pointed out at the stereotype the rest of the World has about Americans. Some people just don't believe them so they have to see for themselves.
See our Government has ruined our reputation around the World. We, as a whole, do not believe we are any better then anybody else. We just think that our country gives us more freedoms then other countries have. I mean yes, we do have the strongest military in the World, but again that doesn't mean that you or I believe we are supior then anybody else.
Our great country was founded on this fact. We started off being the land that would welcome you with open arms no matter where you came from our government changed that.
That being said, I do have a kind of negative side note however.
Yes, I believe anybody should be able to come here, but I don't believe in special treatment. In other words if you can not speak the language you should not get anything that a person that speaks the language doesn't get.
Oh, you don't speak English we will give you disability or we will hire somebody to help you out on your job. I'm sorry, but I think this is just plain wrong.

Yes, the same as it bothers me when Americans show their ignorance about the rest of the world. (What are ppl? I call them people in English.). I try to write in understandable English not the junk people use on cell phones, the bain of proper English. I used to assume that Americans were educated, but, just like the rest of the world, it would appear that a lot of Americans are self opinionated uneducated bigots. Do correct me if I am wrong about that. There is nothing wrong with America that a little bit of humility wouldn't sort out. Just as we the Brits got it wrong in the past, and we are still getting it wrong, so the American people will realise that their leaders are getting it wrong, and they are doing it in the name of profit not democracy, it will take some time before you see what I am ranting about, then when you do you will see that this is a plea, not a criticism.

It doesn`t bother me. Anyhow, this offers you a great opportunity to educate these people who obviously want to know more about the U.S. Not sure why that is a problem. A question may seem absurd to you, but perhaps to the asker, it is not. It can be hard to tell. I think it is good thing if someone wants to know about another country. If they are misinformed, inform them.
You are correct that only English should only be used on the english based Answers. Maybe these people don`t know that it is part of Yahoo`s Terms of Service. Your chance to educate and get a point in the process!
Thanks for asking.

Personally I have no problems with the individuals looking to learn and I even try really hard to decipher the wording that is used (sometimes not all that simple to do)....The ones that are a thorn in my flesh are the ones that come on as if they know everything about this country and are into a slam session on everything that we supposedly are when in fact the things they are saying shows that they know nothing about the way that it is---now I'm equally as sure that we have just as many that do the same thing the other direction----so somehow it all comes out in the wash--but it still doesn't make any easier to take

The United States has a huge influence on what happens in the world. That the people of Baghdad have to live their lives in a daily hell is because of American-led intervention for its own interests based on a false premise. Afghanistan is another example- this is a total quagmire. Don't be so surprised that the aggrieved people of the world want to attack you.

I'm afarid that you are being rude. Why do you believe that ppl should know about the US? You're just like any other country. If I ask an American something about Malta and he doesnt know....does that mean he is stupid? For chrissake stop thinking you're on top of the world!

well americans themselves know less about other pple's countries, this is true, your government say less or negative things about other nations so that they make you americans feel special and blessed to be americans, eg... an american doesnt know anything good in Africa they show on tv only pple suffering and fighting, same with middle east, or some east europeans countries.
well for many pple (not all) know quite alot abt america, compared to how americans know abt their countries.

Everyone has to start somewhere... there is probably something you aren't good at or just starting to learn? Sometimes the mark of a true champion is the ability to help a beginner.
