pdf mean portable document format. there are actually two programs Adobe Acrobat which is the program that lets you save your files (which can be made in any software program you have) as pdf's. and then there is Acrobat Reader. This only allows you to read the pdf file. the form you want to fill out... print it and fill it out with a pen.

The PDF files are CREATED by a program called Adobe Acrobat (or a similar, compatible program). Acrobat READER merely lets you VIEW (but not edit) the files.
If the original form designer made the form as a "fill in," then you will be able to fill out the data entry spaces in the form. If not, you will need the full Acrobat (or compatible) program to do what you want.

No you can't write anything in a .pdf file. Pronto.
You'd have to use Acrobat Writer/Distiller to create an adobe file.
Just copy the whole .pdf onto MS-word, and do the changes. THen use Adobe writer to create another adobe file from this MS-word file. That's how it's done.
Now supposing you don't have adobe writer - go to download.com and get morpheus, it's p2p, and then download adobe writer etc., all of this takes time.
Best print it, and then fill in manually, and then rescan it. And send it as an image.
