may be humans r unpredictable, but there is always a dominant characteristic in every body's character that produces their reactions to every thing around them ,and from their reactions we can define their personality.

you're talking about statistics. Predictability is chance, so there's always a chance they will do something unpredictable (the thing that had a smaller chance of occurring). The chance that a person will do something and in a certain manner, is his personality. A personality as viewed by others is actually the whole of expectations from other people, expectations about how this person behaves. How we think they will is how we see them. And the person her/himself has thoughts about their personality which is based on a combination of what he/she needs or finds necessary (selfish) and what others expect from them (social) and how he or she wishes to balance that in order to achieve their goals.
Unpredictability comes when a person does not act accordingly; they do something else than what you'd expect from them given the situation. But that is YOUR expectation. The person must have a selfish reason that outweighs any social advancement, to not do what people expect, which would be the social thing. Some people may seem more stable than others. It would, in my case, be very unpredictable if I did something predictable, for instance. Unpredictionability is a quality or a trait. But even so, it's just the chance at the person displaying unpredictable behavior.
The person has learned to handle situations in either one or the other manner, to ensure what they think will be the better (or wanted or chosen) outcome.

There is a huge debate going on about that in Psychology. It is similar to nature or nuture question. However the answer I like best is from psychologists who are saying when there a house is on fire, all of the people in the house will eventually run away, but some will try to investigate first, some will try to do put out the fire or do something else. Now you can see there are different groups of people or personalities.
But again they will not do the same under other a little different situations. Nevertheless, there is a high probability some group of people will have similar reaction under similar situation.

By the same thing that unpredictabilty is pedicted viz. Mind and its individual personal functionings. Human body like any machine or instrument is created for a definitve pupose such as a PC and its accessories are functionally predictable but unpredictable as user oriented given the CPU and its programmes such as commercial ,engineering ,controlling operations etc. Personality ,however, is of a higher order of creation whose user programmes are intuitively recognised as coming out of unconscious to coscious working states with the unique mind transformative property of time related correlations and a willful choice of controll over actions as an originally embeded property of intellect and intelligence capable of synthetically sub-creating scientifically and realizing one's own personality with the ultimate source of all creation spiritually.

personality is 50% physical appearance, 30% how we think and 20% depends on the way others see us.
most humans are predictable by the way. you expect them to fall in love, you expect them to screw up. it depends on how much you know them in order to predict them.

personality is acquired during the socialisation period of ones life.
one is not born with personality it's your experiences, upbringing and surroundings that contribute to it whilst growing up and which will also surface during adult life.
