What are the 3 main types of processor makers?

i know there's AMD and intel, whats the third?

Besides Intel and AMD (who make essentially identical processors, or at least compatible) there is also the MAC world which until recently was dominated by MOTOROLA!

AMD, INTEL and SPARC processors (manufactured by SUN)! Being third doesn't mean they are slow (on the contrary), it's only refering to how many of us are using Solaris...
