You must be a Yorkshire man, right? My mother is from Barnsley and my step-dad from Lancashire and they have this row all the time!

Another person who seems to want to keep alive the ancient rivalries of the past.

The War of the Roses was a long time ago you know.

How would it be if we focussed on trying to get on better, instead of rubbing salt in the wound?

I'm sure your question is intended to be teasing, and to wind up a few lancashire lads and lasses, but I was hoping that one had died peacefully!

I like both Lancashire and Yorkshire!!

The point of Lancashire is to demonstrate just how miserable, and up themselves, a lot of the people of Yorkshire are.

Lancashire's original use was to invent work (industrial revolution).Now it gives other counties a role model...friendly people, good food, great humour. We should all aspire to the Lancashire way of life.
