well, this is a very disputed case...
The bible is very clear that Armageddon will arrive, but it is extremely vague on when. Certain scholars all have been working throughout history to discover this date, yet every answer is vague and extremely different from previous works.
The only clear time to my recollection is that the Mayans predicted during their time that the "world as we know it" will end in 2012. Don't think we will all die however. If you break down "the world as we know it" you can see that it is simply a matter of perception.
For example, I remember switching from kindergarten to first grade and the world as I knew it had ended. However, in its place was an entirely different and better world...though filled with complications.
So you see, the world ending is not impossible, simply improbable. Eventually this planet will be hit by another meteor and the world as we know it will end. This is a fact, being as how it is inevitable. But will it happen in your lifetime? Play the lottery, you have better chances with that.

no one knows the answer to that question. it states in the bible that NO ONE, not even the angels in heaven know when the world will end.
