gosh, i used to pop my pimples like crazy but I found out that was bad. i still don't know exactly what to do. i've been struggling with this for forever. i have a lot of nasty red and brown scars and they are really embarrassing. how do i get rid or them? i usually try to cover them up with make-up but i don't like to plus sometimes it doesn't work. then at that same time, my skin is so prone to pimples (the pimples that i get are usualy really deep and hurt so much and they just rrrr!!! suck a lot) and stuff. then my nose is covered with deep black heads that i can't seem to get out or rid of. i see all these commercials for acne stuff. i've tried A LOT of stuff that hasn't worked. but i've just been giving up lately on stuff and i really have no idea what to do. is there anybody that can help me. i hate looking at my face in the mirror. i don;t remember what it was like to be completly blemish free. i get so jealous of the people on magazines with perfect skin.

I have acne scars also... They arent that bad but you can really see them in bright light. I don't know of any cure to them other then surgery, and i've read thats not the best thing to do. I have a question regarding acne scars and women... I noticed alot of the posts on this thread had female icons, I take that some or maybe all of them are women, but then again maybe I'm just stupid... I want to know if this is really a big issue, i'm 21, i've never had a girlfriend my whole life, I watch what I eat, and I take extremely good care of my body as I have been doing for about 4 years now consistantly and this sticks out when I'm running on a daily basis, i'm 6'2 and I also have a nice tan... What I really want to know is why women look at me as if they're disgusted? I just don't get it, are acne scars my problem? I don't even have them that bad, and I wouldn't consider myself to be a bad looking guy... Without the scars that is. Please help me.

I had the same prob a few years ago and this is what I did.... Got some Palmers cocoa butter its got tons of vitamin E, put it on every night before bed, in the morning use a alcohol free acne wash ( NO ASTRINGENTS!!) and keep face as oil free during the day as you can ( go splash cold water on your face every couple hours if you can, wash your hands first!) do not touch face with hands, drink plenty of water, try not to use make up, and if you must, try bare-essentials brand, their expensive but 100% natural so you dont have all the nasty extras that will prevent you face from clearing up. And last but not least, if you try this and it doesn't work for you, go see a dermatologist......they'll be able to fix you up for alot more money then trying this for one month will! Oh yea, do this for about a month! Hope it works for you to!!!

First of all, those magazine pictures are retouched and airbrushed to eliminate imperfections. Very few people have perfect skin. Many top stars had/have acne.
You can't go wrong with the basics....cleanse, exfoliate, tone and moisturize. It's better to be too gentle rather than too harsh with your skin. Eat healthy food and drink plenty of water. If you're young you will out grow a lot of your problems and many scars will fade with time. Be patient and be kind to yourself
Consult a dermatologist to give yourself some peace of mind.

Get Rid Of Acne Permanently?

Seems like you've got a tricky problem here. My advice to you is to seek medical help immediately. Go see a doctor, he or she will be able to prescribe some medication that will keep the acne under control or even make them go away. Don't wait any longer, for the longer you wait, the more damage you will accumulate to your skin. Commercial products that claims to make you acne go away are just gimmicks.

some of my friends go straight to a doctor when their skin is really bad. the doc will precribe somethin to eat.. and somethin for the skincare regime. Vitamin E is also very good fto heal the scars. i think the most important thing is to find a very good product for acne prone skin like clinique.. dermalogica.. or anythin that works for u.. and stick to it. and stop poppin those pimples girl!! and drink heaps of water..

Whenever I get one of those huge, uderground blemishes, I mix a teaspoon of yeast with a few drops of lemon juice and water to make a paste, and dab it on the spots. It really seems to shrink those things overnight!?
