They are two completely different things, to start with, only related as they're both from your mind.
Imagination is how creative your mind can be. For example, can you imagine a purple elephant with snake tails for legs and fur like a zebra? If you can picture this in your head, you most likely have a good imagination. Another example is if you can think of interesting or offbeat answers for a problem. Ex: 1+1 = 2 (boring answer), 11 (one and one!) 3 (one man, one woman, one baby).
Intuition, on the other hand, is sort of like a sixth sense. Ever have that feeling that you just -know- something? Maybe you have taken a look at a person, and just known that they were in a bad mood. This would be a utilization of your intuition.

Good question, Armstrong, especially since neither imagination, nor intuition, are subject much to our conscious or volitional thinking.
But the connotations of the words seem to be, that the result of imagination is nil while intuition implies that the imagined event did, ultimately, in fact, happen.
So it's hindsight-/-rear-view mirror vision, that graduates imagination into intuition, I would say.
Also, secondary consequences can be considered, such as:
Henry Ford could imagine everyone owning an automobile. But he apparently did not intuit the full consequences of that.
And on another slant, Imagination somehow connotes what Men use, while Intuition connotes a Woman's talent.

Imagination is fantasizing. Intuition you feel in your gut as something occurring, about to occur, etc.

Imagination is what you framed in your mind before asking this question and also type of answers you expected.
Intuition is you too know something about the question and expected answers with your experience, age and maturity

Imagination is something you want to see happen and is made up in your mind.
Intuition is something you feel when you're not necessarily trying and is a foresight into something.

mind's eye is springing up photos and recommendations on your innovations. instinct is each from time to time a feeling, like being psychic, yet oftentimes a prediction on the destiny in reaction to previous reports.
