Depends on the degree to which you care about true emotions. You can find yourself a "Date" on the street corner, possibly even quite cheap depending on how desperate she is for that crack rock. But your best bet is to get involved in a hobby of some sort, or start meeting your friend's friends. Go to a party with some buddies and be bright, chipper, friendly, and confident. Don't seem like you're on the prowl and the girls should be naturally attracted to you. It's easy to meet women, the hard part is finding one you click with well enough to make her your girlfriend.

When you look for girl friend take a taxi and talk to the taxi driver
when you have good job/income he for sure knows some family members who looking for good husband for their daughter.
Otherwise look at news paper and import GF from Vietnam like more uncles in Singapore do.
