No and it's not true. Maybe only one person for that time in your life, but not for your whole life.

hmm...I say no. Whoever says yes is an idiot. You have to take into consideration the sheer amount of people in the world. "The one" just happened to be in your 11th grade home room? or "the one" just happened to find you in Honolulu on vacation with your girlfriend. In my opinion, there are countless "the ones".
The math just says there is. "The one" is defined by you over the course of several years. You may think you found "the one" but really you just found a one that seemed like a "the one" for a few months or even years. Its all about pure dumb luck babe. I know that doesn't sound romantic and takes the romance out of the search, but its true. That's all in the movies and in stories told by people who have been together for 40 years. Your "the one" is right around the corner, you just need to cut some corners, make some exceptions (such as, does he HAVE to be between 20 and 25 right now? or does he HAVE to have an A+ body or is a small belly with a great sense of humor, a really cute face and a good job THAT hard to live with? or does he HAVE to rich and drive a hot car or is a decent living and a truck worth giving a try?).
You have to be willing to give guys a try that maybe, you normally wouldn't. I am NOT saying by any means, date some 32 yr old scuzzbag scrub with a mullet driving a 1987 Impala a chance. You know what corners are able to be cut within reason. I gurantee you will find "the one" if you do that.
