Porn victimizes women and children. I hate it.
Even if you are talking about the kind that doesn't use children, it's still creates stereotypes which usually cater to what pleases a man sexually.
What pleases a woman sexually, generally speaking, is not what men get accustomed to seeing represented, which leads them to think, "What's wrong with women I know?"
I think it's also like shoplifting. Something for nothing. It makes sex a recreational exercise that has nothing to do with investment of the self. No expenditure of time and attention or emotion. It's completely self-gratifying.
The problem with that is that many men begin to prefer it to the real thing with a real person. Relationships, sexual and otherwise, demand give and take, mutual respect, negotiation.
If a man comes into sex believing that it's all about his experience (what other person's experience does he have to think of when he's watching porn?), he's not likely to be a sensitive lover, despite the fact that he will come into it thinking he has a high level of expertise based on all the exposure he has had to what he has become to believe sex is all about.
Recipe for disaster.

It's degrating and disgusting to both men and women, but moreso to women. It abuses the whole concept of love making between a man and a woman. Society needs to stop the nonsense. Just because there is a such thing as porn, people think it's ok to have sex before marriage. I believe sex before marriage is WRONG!! I'm 27 and waiting. Even if it means until I'm 40!! If I found a man who was still a virgin at 40, I'd feel like the princess ofo the world and I'd give him more respect. To me, waiting is the true romantic!!! STOP THE PRON NONSENSE!!! IT'S WRONG!! Why don't people go out and give money to the poor rather then waste their hard earned money on something so sinful and sick????
GROW UP WORLD!!! There is more to life then sex....Sex is over rated anyway....I'm SICK OF HEARING ABOUT IT!!!!

There are two primary types of "PORN" -- male and female. Both deal with a primary fear/fantasy. For men, it is sex without fear of rejection. Women in "porno" movies are always as eager as the men, and no one is ever rejected. The female version is success without fear of failure/blockage -- very similar fantasy. An example of female porn are the books of Sidney Sheldon -- always women running vast financial empires and never being blocked, stopped, or hitting a glass ceiling. So called "porn" is simply the fantasy of "whatever' without fear. For men it is sex. for women it is success. The only known adverse effect of male pron is that men can forget that this is fantasy and feel that their own sex life, no matter how good, isnt good enough. Perhaps the same thing happens with women reading Sidney Sheldon.

I think it can be a cool way to spice up a dull night at home. Both people have to be ok with watching tho. My Husband and I put it on occasionally(Muted-I hate the corny dialog & moans), and sometimes we laugh like crazy, and alot of times we just get down!!! It can be fun, but not to be taken too seriously.

Whatever adults want to watch other adults do to each other in the privacy of their own home is fine with me. It's none of my business and you shouldn't want to tell me what I can or can not watch. It's unamerican to tell me that I can't watch porn if I'm an adult. PERIOD.
You may think it's disgusting or degrading, THEN DON'T WATCH IT. But you can't tell ME not to watch it.

Porn doesn't hurt unless it involves kids or animals, then it is just wrong and illegal. Otherwise, I think it can be fun for couples or by yourself!

Well I have seen only minutes of porno in my life. I dont really care for it. My imagination is much better, I dont need porno for good ideas. As for the effects of the industry....well they are ugly and sad. It is a monster that eats up many peoples lives.
