Looking for a Fiat Palio, is it worth buying a Palio, what are the key features of the car..

Fiat Palio is a good car but poor service network damaged the reputation.
Plus Points:
1. Good, Silent & Smooth Gear Box
2. Good Pick-Up
3. Palio Diesel has higher weight to torque ratio in the same category.
4. Seating & Ergonomics are good...you feel like sitting a small aircraft cockpit.
5. Latest technology like 'drive by wire'...comparable with 'Fly-by-Wire' as in Airbus A320.
6. Sport version looks decent.
7. Fiat Palio in Brazil has a new front and back look...looks better than earlier...even new dashboard. Wait...if you can it is going to be launched soon in India.
Minuses:
1. Fuel Guzzler (that's the european & russian weakness of the vehicle).
2. After Sales Service poor (Tata....let's see)
3. Back seats are not that comfortable for tall persons.
4. Paint quality so...so..
I opted for Hyundai Getz...running fine. Diesel version will be out soon....

The Palio is Fiats world car built for both developed & developing market!!! It is a small Hatchback based on the Fiat Uno plarform!!! It has solid build quality & is built like a tank!!! It has been tested all over the world over different terrains in the roughest conditions so it is suitable for most markets over any kind of roads!!! In India the roads are full of potholes & the palio just glides over them!!! Such precise body controls.. It handles well also!!! The car has a functional & spacious interior although quality is a suspect & the design is dated!! But it can seat 5 with large boot for 2 suitcases!!! The car is available in a variety of Petrol & diesel engines which are very refined & have decent performance!!! But fuel efficiency is on the lower side & that is the main bugbear for a small car!!!
Buy the Palio if u want a small car with Large car like feeling!!! Happy choosing!!!

Palio's ECU has been recalibrated for Euro 3 norms...
this screws the palio to what it was...
the throttle response and the low engine speed torque have got even worse...it spills out 72 bhp..but not satisfactory eh!!
the think C pillar makes reversing and parking difficult..
POSITIVE'S:-
steering is perfect,
chassis is excellent, stable on all surfaces..
in it's class it is the best..
light steering and good visibility.. it's good a poor turning circle..
but s good seating position..
i think that's enough for you to decide...
