Never understood why so many folks acted embaressed by their names, particularly their middle names.
Lets be bold.
What is your middle name?
Where did it originated?
How do you feel about it?

Me first.
Jodina
My parents got the name from a lady bounty hunter off a TV show in the '70.
And I love it. Fits well.

Your turn!

Mine is Louise. My mom wrote in my baby book that my names were the prettiest combination they could think of. Also, I have a cousin who is a couple of years older who has a different first name, but the same middle name as myself.
I think the story of my oldest son's middle name is more interesting though. When I was pregnant with him, his dad and I were watching a game show on t.v. and Wink Martindale was the host of the game show. My husband said that Wink was a nickname for Winston and I thought that would make a cool sounding middle name so when he was born, we named him Michael Winston. (My husband also wanted to name the next son James Tiberious after "Star Trek's" Captain James T. Kirk, but I said "no," but now son, James wishes that we did name him after the famous science fiction captain!)

I happen to like my middle name more than my first, I am not called by either, I have a nick name. My middle name is Irish though.

Joshua. My mom wanted to name me that, and my dad wanted to name me David. Since she got to decide the last too, his first choice was my first name and her first choice was my middle name. No real reasons though, nobody in the family and my parents weren't particularly religious.

I was named after my aunts. My first name (CarolAnn) is the combination of two and my middle name (Margret) is from a third. Of course I could have done without the "Poltergeist" or the "Brady Bunch" jokes.

I don't have one and I don't care to have one. As for those who hate their first names or middle names or last names, get it changed legally.
