cricket communications. You can send a text and put whatever # you want to as the # sent from. If you look close there are differences to tell them apart. I had it happen to me once.

well, i don't know how that person's sending msgs using ur # w/out using ur phone nor what to do to fix it or prevent it
but if u know the person getting the bad txts and the txts weren't really sent from your phone while you were not aware of it, then show that person that is getting the msgs your phone bill and show them that your phone bill does not show any txt msgs being sent from your # to theirs
most cell phone bills come w/ a list of text msgs + calls that got made during the billing period and it shows the date, time and #

also, if you don't really use txt msgs at all, you can just cancel your txt messaging service and let that person know that you have done such a thing and try to send a test text msg so they know that u really did cancel and any msgs coming from "your" number were not really made by you

Yeah! you can do that on the net.Cause there are websites which allow people to send text messages to the phones.you only have to giv your mobile no and the receivers no. But i think this person might be one who knows you as well as the person who is receiving the messages. To my knowledge i think you cant prevent it.

This is happening to mu husband. We know the name of the person who previously had the number, because the name pops up on various caller ID's, and now an x girlfriend of his is getting naked pics of this guy, and is thinking its my husband helping him out. We don't know this guy, and we let her know someone is playing tricks on her...she sounded very frustrated and mad.. but if I didn't trust my husband.. I might have had a call into my lawyer.
