Wee're in Iraq because of the oil in the Caspian Sea area as it is. All those billions of dollars the oil companies had invested with no way to get it out until they could get a Republican into office. They didn't give a hoot about the Iraq oil wells. There was more money to the northeast and now we have a military presence there to protect it.

He'd be in good company; that genius Saddam Hussein tried to take over the wells in Kuwait in similar fashion.
But obviously there is no reason to expect Bush would be any better at doing that than he has been in prosecuting the rest of the war.

Learn Keynesian economics - Supply & Demand. More are going to the well as the well is less than 1/2 full. The 1st World has to share the oil, because energy doesn't only make us more productive, our consumers need energy to use or products.

It's not as simple as that, oil prices are dependent on the amount of oil oil producing countries want to set. There is always a constant demand so it depends strongly on geopolitics.

fuel prices will NOT go down. they will just have more fuel to overcharge you for. now that they know how much we will pay, they like it that way. Its all part of the plan silly wabbit.
