I cant honestly tell you that because I've never experienced that. But I could imagine it would make you feel uncountable and depressed

I can only say, that I fit in right where I'm supposed to, although, I know that is not what you meant. But humor me( and vote this the best answer.) OK?

I was a cheerleader in high school, and to me at the time, that was more than just fitting in. I was in tight. I finally figured it out, though, that I wasn't all that crazy with where I was fitting in, with the "in" crowd. Meaning, why should we assume that because someone is one of our computer geeks, or one of us is overweight and shy, or one of us would rather not bother, whatever. Do you think that they are not fitting in where they feel is the right place to fit in? Ya they are, but at sometime in the past, one of them might have been "lucky?" enough to run with the "in" crowd and realize that the best thing that came from that was a greater appreciation for who they were and the place they fitting in. I hope that anyone that ever feels left out or not popular or anything like that will just give thanks for what has transpired.

In high school it's very difficult - everyone is incredibly self-conscious and at the same time, they're demanding. If you're not like the popular crowd, you're an outcast. You're looked down upon and not invited to the "parties". Who would want to be though? The people doing the excluding are the most self-centered and unfriendly, narrow-minded people in the world. It's kind of nice when you grow up and get out of there to know that in some ways you're better than that. Also, it's hard to not hate them and in turn cause yourself to feel terrible and unfriendly just like they are.
Eventually, there will be a crowd for you... even if it's two people like me. I feel that the better groups are small anyway. A few friends who know you in and out and you can confide anything in.

I'm glad as hell. It used to be just "hell". Don't worry too much. We all go through a long list of questions that we ask ourselves during this time we call life. Here is a short list as an example:
Why am I here?
I feel like I'm a spirit trapped inside this body.
I feel all alone.
What am I doing?
Is there a God?
And if so, why is his answering machine not working.
Why me?
Everybody hates me.
Am I crazy?
I just wish I could die.
How can I save the world from itself?
I wish I could fly.

If you "FIT IN" that means your not asking the right questions.
Be patient. Experiance life. And above all, Play.

sometimes being left out means you are singled out for something more important you need to research that being with the in crowd is not always the true answer

It feels great you are not compelled to do something because of the world around you but because of what you believe yourself.
