the best i can really say is that i'm from canada and i enjoy humour from here and the us, but equally or more so enjoy british humour. i really like how wry it tends to be. eg, the british series "the office".

I'm from Southern California, USA.

Monty Python, Benny Hill, Absolutely Fabulous (was that the name of the show???)... these are just a few examples of Brit humor that has been successful in the States.

I know that Friends is shown in other countries, so that's one example of American humor being enjoyed outside of American society. Oprah isn't a comedy, but it too is shown and appreciated outside of the USA.

Humor overlaps societies a lot. Not all humor, some of it is specific to only one country at a time, even to one region at a time, but I think most humor can transcent geographic boundaries. Example: funny videos of animals.

Well, I'm from N. Cali, USA, and I find GB's Monty Python outrageously funny.
My parents introduced me to his Holy Grail way back when. Nearly broke a rib laughing.

So, yea, i guess I do find at least some foreign humor funny.

Sometimes I don't understand the humor they are using and i have to get someone to explain it to me. Maybe it is a cultural thing. But I love Monty Python's strange humor, I like Carol Burnett and i also like Cantinflas. I like Da Ali G show too. I don't like humor that uses profane language and vulgarity. I live in PR.

no...my parents are from another country and in their country ...or the way they say is funny ....but when they try to translate it to American .....it makes no sens at all. it most embarrassing when they try to say it in front of others, that are American...or speak (American) English.
