yes i do most of the time just think of all the starving people they could feed and educate them as well, I know they say we are learning about this and that but do we really know what they really spend on one flight, and just today they are saying its a risky launch for the shuttle well from my chair two shuttles have been destroyed by crazy money it cost to recover and law suits and what not, I mean its more than you or I will ever see in in our lifetime, but they are sending one more up Saturday and they say its risky because the foam insulation is falling off well i guess they have a undetermined amount of money to say lets go with the risk and see what happens, if you or i take a risk they say we are crazy and lock us up, i see what your saying and do not have a good answer for you , they do say its for our future but look untill they can stop rapest murders , theives , globle warming, starvging to death, poor people me included, money to help medicie with cures (they say thats wha there doing but well its only been since the begining of time and we still die and always will ) i mean they have ther own laws and no one controls what they do and everything is top secret and 2/3 of the missions are top secret military missions anyway, so i get angry some times but it do not do any good to get angery cause they do wha they want when they want to, we all want a better life and from my chair some of there money woul surly do itmoney is wha tit takes to eat right, live right and be healthy its money and they have most of it, wha tcharity does nasa give to anyway cause they charge to visit them ?tours u know well thatnks for your ear i feel better now

How quickly people forget. The space program has introduced new technologies and insight that we simply cannot get from the vantage point of the earth.I wont list all the technologies developed by the space program that are everyday things that are taken for granted. Not to mention the astounding discoveries made by the Space Hubbel telescope alone have changed the way we see the rest of the universe.Unfortunately, science cant fix all the damage done by religion. Is that a waste?

Any program exploring new frontiers is not and never has been a waste. Consider the advances in technology, too numerous to list here, that have made our lives easier and longer over the last 100 years.

For homo sapiens to continue as a species we must continue to expand our horizons. After all, what will happen when we have gotten to the point of depleting many of the resources of the earth, oil for example. Conservation of the resources of the earth is not the answer. That path is madness - it only prolongs the inevitable. For the sake of those who come after us, we must continue to expand into the solar system and beyond.

it may very well save out species when this planet or our sun dies. besides studying space will help us learn how to run our own planet. also, there are alot of resources out there and the possibility of colonizing new worlds... nasa talks about terraforming mars

Imagine if the Europeans never explored the ocean because it cost money... how different the world might be.... imagine if ppl never explored the jungle cause its dangerous... we wouldnt have many medicines we have today... anyone who says the space program is a waite is outa their skullz... it makes alot more sense then war now doesn't it?

Sure, the space program has been a terrible waste of money if you are not interested in advances in solid state technology (computers and microchips), ceramic and other materials technology, solar power, fuel cells, astronomy, and a myriad of other technologies that it has encouraged, developed and influenced.

I agree with you it is a waste. The landing on the moon in 1969 or whenever (before my time) was faked and either way it is all just one big competition to prove that the U.S. is better than everyone else. The bottom line is that men are not meant to walk on the moon. Or on any other planet it is two dangerous it is a waist of money and we just cant afford it with all that the U.S. is going through right now.

i don't think it is, in the past the space program has solved more then one problem. Thats not to say that we should not get ourselves straight down here but I believe the future lies in space.
