ok, so does anyone have a clue where to get a portugese posting stamp if u live in Qatar?

Have you checked the 2nd floor at Q-Post Main Building on the Corniche? They might have some foreign stamps.
There is also a small store selling money, stamps, etc. in front of the desks on the first floor.
Otherwise, check on E-Bay.

Write to the Portuguese Post Office, Philatelic Services, Lisbon, Portugal (this address is enough!) They will be glad to send you whatever you wish, from normal to commemorative stamps. By the way, the latter are very beautiful.

Of course, you will have to pay for those. However, if you explain your reasons clearly and those are fair, maybe they will send you a small sample...

You can ask someone from Portugal to send you a letter. You will receive the stamp too.
