What are some of your favorite bands/groups to listen to? I am trying to find some new music to listen to.
I like bands like Slipknot, S.O.A.D., Breaking Benjamin, Static-X, Atreyu, Jimmy Eat World, Mudvayne, some Deftones, Tool, Panic!, ICP, Chevelle, A Perfect Circle and the like. My list would go on and on.

Check out Dragonforce, most of their songs include their guitarists playin right at about 800 notes/min and rock so hard, i want to punch myself in the balls.

I've found that all fans of good music should know the roots. If you like heavy-ish stuff, which appears to be true, go with Black Sabbath (inventors of heavy metal), The Who's "Live at Leeds" album (full of kick you in the face moments), and any of Led Zeppelin's first four albums. And if you like good music period, listen to the Beatles. Amazing throughout. As for new stuff, Wolfmother is rad. Very heavy, yet still pleasant on the ears.

I really like older Korn (like the first 3 albums), Incubus, Trapt, Henry Rollins (The Rollins Band), The Black Crowes, Pink Floyd, Gorillaz (they are really great), Jimmie's Chicken Shack, Radiohead, Sevendust, Metallica, Franz Ferdinand, Godsmack, Red Hot Chili Peppers and last but certainly not least (but maybe the best) Jasha Ephraim.
