What do you know personally about the Mayan city of Lamanai in Belize?

I'm glad the Mayans were able to draw the conquistadores out of one of their cities!
I think since the Spanish couldn't get their hands on it, it has better-preserved ruins than most other archeological sites, even if they weren't excavated until recently.
And it's beautiful, I think.
