A friend of mine is the wife to a bi polar person. Providing they take their medication the person is a really lovely guy. After a few weeks on non-compliance things start to get a bit messy. Mood swings from spending money they really do not have (Grandeur) and feelings of rage or depression (sometimes in the one day) take their toll. It can be done, it is hard, but everyone is different and you ahve to decide what you want in life and if the other person is worth ALL THAT HARD WORK.
All relationships are hard work, these ones just take that bit extra at times :)

I've never dated anyone with bipolar, but someone in my family has it so I've been exposed to it. If you are interested in someone who's bipolar, you should prepare yourself for an emotional roller coaster. It will be very hard for you because you'll think everything's fine one minute, then the next minute, they will do a total 180. Even on medication, it's scary. I would never date someone with bipolar, no way, no how.

I have dated someone who was bipolar.

The relationship was hard at first, because I didn't understand the struggles he was going through in his own mind. After having a long talk with him, and doing some research, we were fine. :)

It can be done, providing she/he takes their medication, and continues in therapy.. Nothing in life is easy... and ...We can't help who we love..
