They have a reality, their own liberal agenda;
•attack American traditions, specifically Christian traditions and the traditional American family
•engage in "get-even" policies that support discrimination when it benefits historically disadvantaged groups
•punish and/or discourage achievement through taxation and fiscal policies
•use the rulings of the Judicial branch of the government as de facto law, irrevocable by anything short of Constitutional amendment or a future court ruling, thus bypassing the legislative process. Roe V. Wade is the most frequently cited example of "judicial activism".
•weaken the military strength and morale of the country by vilifying the practice of armed combat and hesitating to use force when it appears necessary
•use regulatory bodies over private enterprise to accomplish social goals and restrict competition (government, education, labor)
•establish secular and progressive social policy, including support for gay marriage, abortion, liberal drug policy, euthanasia and prostitution legalization.
•implement a foreign policy supporting the protection of human rights and multiculturalism through activism and social intervention.

It is no harder to believe the things that a liberal mind comes up with than it is for a conservative mind.
The differences between a liberal looking at the same facts as a conservative are the basic underlying assumptions. Assumptions such as providing a helping hand to someone in need as opposed to self reliance. Or that investing for the future as opposed to spending for present needs.
If you cannot understand why someone is interpreting the facts differently than you are, ask why instead of condemning them as stupid or unrealistic. At the end of your discussion you may find that fundamental assumptions regarding the world lead to the difference. You don't have to agree, but you will have better understanding.
I suggest a little bit of independent thought and research into issues instead of accepting what your pastor or talk radio host says as being the absolute truth. They may not know or be providing all of the facts.
Also, labels such as Liberal or Conservative are not helpful. Differences of opinion will always exist. If you have honest, open discussions with people you will understand that most people are trying to solve problems and improve life. They may actually agree that there is a problem to be solved, but not in the way it should be solved because of their basic assumptions.
Do not exclude others for being different. Include them BECAUSE they are different. No one person or group knows all of the facts or has all of the answers. After discussing an issue from several points of view a better understanding of an issue is developed. Then a better solution may be determined.

Very hard to imagine that it was the Democrats under Bill Clinton and Al Gore that were paying down the National debt and reducing - yes reducing, the size of gov't, but it is true. Under their watch one entire cabinet was eliminated through consolidation and the IRS was becoming smaller and more people friendly. Now, we have another cabinet position and the highest national debt this country has ever seen. The interest we pay on that alone is staggering. No wonder this country was enjoying such a great economy during the mid to late 90's.

Liberals can't get real, they're too busy wondering where their next free hand out is coming from.
And I say to one of the people who answered previously;
* If you want equal rights, act equal.
* If you want a living wage, get out and get a job, or two jobs, or three jobs, how ever many it takes to support yourself.
* If you want a clean environment, start cleaning.
* If you want a peaceful world, then think twice how you treat others.
It all starts with you.
There is no reason why the government needs to babysit your ***. People keep saying how much they want less government and that our government pokes it's nose into too much of our business. Stop expecting the government to take care of your every need. And they won't poke so much. Besides, I for one don't care to support you with my tax dollars.

You have to think about personal responsibility; its a very difficult thing to accept. The liberal mind wants to blame someone else; have a government big enough to keep them from having to make decisions that could lead to failure. Its not that hard to imagine; its just pathetically sad.
