there are tons of horror movies way better than halloween
check out the original "texas chainsaw massacre", "last house on the left", "the exorcist", original "dawn of the dead"

Not even close. The modern horror movie lacks a great many things compared to the early ones. You really can't do better than Vincent Price and his generation for real horror.

Definitely not. I feel truly good horror movies are the ones that don't spurt out an eternity of bad sequels. I've always been partial to the Japanese flick 'Audition.'

no... halloween was so unrealistic... the dude walks so slow but ends up catching up to them anyway? i mean c'mon. the best horror movie in my mind was the vary first version of The Haunting... that movie scared me soo much when i first saw it... the newer version of The Haunting wasnt as good...
